Make your way to the centrally located meeting point. Meet your guide and a small group of 12 people or fewer and head down the famous Graben boulevard en route to a coffee shop that has been serving fine Viennese brews since 1685.

Once properly caffeinated, satisfy your sweet tooth at a famous pastry shop and chocolatier, and then head to the hotel that claims fame for inventing the Viennese dessert Sachertorte, a chocolate cake with a layer of apricot jam and chocolate icing: learn how the kitchen churns out 500 a day.

Continue to the two open-air markets of Naschmarkt and Brunnenmarkt, getting recommendations for the hottest local eateries along the way, and spend time browsing stalls of colorful produce, sweet treats, and homewares. Plus, visit a tiny restaurant near the market to try fresh produce, fish, spices, and cheese.

Finish your tour with a private coffee tasting in a popular coffeehouse in trendy Neubau, Vienna's seventh district, where you bid farewell to your guide.

This tour was amazing! Our guide, Maria, was wonderful and took us throughout the city to local food restaurants and vendors. We not only learned about the local cuisine but also about the city culture and a bit of history as well. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Vienna. It was such a great way to spend part of our day in the city!

You won’t leave hungry after this food tour, which includes stops at a great coffee shop, restaurant and ice cream shops. Our guide took pains to take us around town by subway and street car to show us the off tourist markets and food stands to give us a sense of how the Viennese really live.

Fantastic tour for so many reasons. Our tour guide Christopher knew the history and quirks of every stop and meal. He tailored our trip to our needs, as it was a very hot day, he ensured we were under the shade, well hydrated, and gave us public transport directions to get home. THERE WAS SO MUCH FOOD, and we were eating the local tastes of Vienna rather than where the tourists would go. The tour size was perfect too. I would not hesitate to book this tour, if you want to taste local Viennese food then just go for it :D

Onella was our guide and she was wonderful. Our group was small (4 work colleagues) and she took us to several places where coffee, food, wine, and beer were served. Walked all over Vienna and used the subway as well, so it was a perfect way to see the city. The tour last about 5 hours and we all were very pleased with it. Highly recommend this tour!!!

This. tour. was. amazing. Our guide was Christopf. He taught us SO much history it was incredible. We ate at the coolest places and hit up several local hotspots that we would've never wandered into on our own. The street food at the end was perfect! The chef had so much experience and a ton of local flavors. I would 10/10 take this tour again and would recommend it to everyone.

I highly recommend this tour for those visiting Vienna for the first time. Better yet, do this tour on day 1. You will have a better sense of Vienna's maze, but wonder districts. Thank you Ornella, our guide, for a wonderful experience. I will be trying a couple of dishes I learned from this tour when I return home.
