We enjoyed learning more about North Beach. History of the area. The Pizza at the last restaurant starts with an M (sorry I didn’t save the name), was amazing! The group was a bit disjointed but not possible to put “great groups” together.

This was the second time I’ve done this tour with a work group and it was just as fun as I remembered! I booked this for coworkers who were visiting and we loved learning more about North Beach (there’s still plenty for locals to learn) and tried some excellent food spots 😋 Shout out to our guide Lauren for the excellent tour!

Molto Bene!

Both our guide, Brian and the food was incredible! Brian is a native San Franciscan and seemed to be on a first name basis with all of the restaurants we visited. He was great about explaining the Italian history while including a local flair.

Food and drink in North Beach, San Fransisco

My husband and I love to travel and do eating tours whenever we can. Our experience with this tour was very enjoyable. Brian, our guide was entertaining, hospitable and provided a great experience. He is obviously well known and liked by the community. We met some street characters, shop owners, chefs and locals. The food was delicious and it gave us a feel for the neighbourhood. We spent the rest of our day in North Beach exploring more in depth some of what Brian pointed out to us on our walk. We even got to tour a small theatre that we ended up getting tickets to the evening performance of Dear San Fransisco. A must see if you are in town. We do tours like this for the inside scoop from a local like Brian. It was definitely a worthwhile experience.

Too much talking

Brian’s stories and lots of food. There was too much “selling” going on. The tour took almost 4 hours. This was way too long with lots if waiting and stories between stops. Should have taken max of two hours

I apologize for your experience. As noted in other reviews, Brian, being a San Francisco native, has lots of stories about San Francisco, that only a native can relate. It is our goal that this adds an element to our tours that gives our guests a unique local’s perspective on San Francisco. Could you call me at 415 665-0480, email me at tmedin@sffoodtour.com or message me through Viator, so I can get more details on what occurred and ensure that all our future guests have an exceptional experience. We want all our guests to have incredible food and a fantastic tour of the neighborhood. As noted in other reviews, Brian’s stories are usually a major highlight of the tour. It appears that Brian was not as focused as he usually is on your tour, which caused the tour to go longer than expected. Again, I sincerely apologize for your experience.

We loved the walking food tour! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and took us to places we would’ve never tried on our own. We brought our 7 month old baby with us and she even sang to her. We would highly recommend going!

Good Food & a Good Time!

My partner and I were blown away with the tour. You get much more food than in the ticket description- we tried 7-8 different items (I lost count!) and our tour guide, Brian, had a wonderful history of San Francisco that kept us all entertained the entire time. This tour is definitely worth the money and the time. The walking is pretty mild and could be done by almost any activity level.

Great tour, food was excellent. Tour guide was awesome. She made sure everyone was comfortable with the tour. I also like that most of the restaurants took a little of their time to visit with us.
