Tuscany Countryside Day Trip from Rome including 3-Course Lunch & Wine Tasting

Very nice itinerary. Guide was great. The local guides, very passionate and knowledgeable, however talked too long, lost the attention of guests.

Andreas,, our tour guide, made this a very pleasant experience adding to the uniqueness and beauty of the sites visited. Very well organized. Worth our time and investment.

Our guide, Laura, did a great job of explaining the history and current way of life for the Tuscany region. She injected personal experience into the story telling and was very open to answering question we had. The beauty of the region was the visual pleasure of the trip. Visiting the old towns in the area and getting to know why they existed was very satisfying. Also tying the locations along the way to some popular movies was an extra plus.

Loved everything about this. Our guide .Peter, is the best!!magnificent countryside and vistas. The winery and lunch… unforgettable.

The Restaurant / winery was very cool. It was actually a 2 course lunch, with small pieces of biscotti after the entree. The tour definitely took us to some charming villages with beautiful overlooks. The local tour guides who met us in the little Tuscan village of Montepulciano were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The frustration was that we lost an hour of time we could have spent in Tuscany because of some decisions the tour guide made. First, despite all the warnings that the tour will leave you if you are late, the tour guide had us wait 30 min for one family of 3 that was not on time to the meeting place. I understand waiting 5 or 10 minutes, but 30 minutes is not fair to all those of us who got up really early and were on time. Then 20 minutes into the trip a couple on the bus asked to get off the bus, saying they changed their mind and didn't want to do the trip, before we had even left Rome. Rather than just drop them off to find their own ride back, the tour guide inconvenienced the whole group by making us all sit on the bus for 30 min at the side of the road while she called a cab and had us all wait until the cab arrived! The traffic jam getting out of Rome was no one's fault, but of course added again to the loss of time we actually got to spend in Tuscany, so that we were quite rushed at each stop. I wish the tour guide had respected the group's time better, as all the unnecessary waiting decreased the value of the trip for the majority who were on time and wanted to be there.

It was a very nice tour. A but long time on the bus but worth it. The good was not super but the scenery amaizing!

This excursion was a really beautiful experience. A must do on your trip to Italy. Very informative as well.

We wished we had done this tour on our first day because the guide gave us so much great information on the trip that we used the rest of our stay. The sights were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.

Our tour guide Emiliano was fantastic! He was funny and kept us entertained the whole time. He also had some great recommendations for us. The only thing is that we wish the description was more descriptive, it was longer and we did more than we expected based on the description.

First off, note that this is NOT a wine tour. It is simply just a day tour around the Tuscany area ending by visiting a vineyard/farm/restaurant. If you keep this in mind, you will be satisfied with the trip. When we originally booked it, we didn’t read as much as we should have and was under the impression this was a wine tour. Other than that, our guide was helpful and it was a beautiful getaway from Rome.
