The guide was excellent. The sound systems assigned by the museum were awful. The pace in the whole museum is grossly rude. The stewards posted all over constantly rush the tourists through, allowing no time to admire any of the exhibits. Barely had time to snap pictures here and there. Seems like just another way for the Roman Catholics to steal from the people of the world.

The guide was very unorganized and didn’t even realize it was a Wednesday (the day the Pope comes to the square). The Basilica was closed because he was out, but she wouldn’t even bring us to the square. She did a good job explaining the Sistine Chapel, but we were rushed through the museum and didn’t even see half the exhibits.

The Vatican City Tour was a great way to see multiple things in a condensed period of time. Our tour guide was very informative and helpful in pointing out key exhibits given there was a lot to see. She definitely had some good historical facts and references to share. The Vatican Museum is massive so you won't see everything on the tour but should have access to it when the formal tour concludes. The Sistine Chapel is beautiful and breathtaking, definitely a must see. On the group tour you'll be able to visit it for 20-25 minutes. The last part of the tour is the Vatican Basilica and you'll be able to view it on your own time; it's massive so be prepared to spend a good amount of time there. We definitely felt like we benefitted from having a tour guide for Vatican City, plus we got to skip the normal line to get in. Just for that alone we felt the tour was well worth our money. You'll see and learn a lot from this half-day excursion.
