Amazing tour of Montmatre!

You absolutely should do this amazing tour. It was so much more than pastries, wine, and cheese. First, his directions on west to meet were spot on and is located directly across the street from the Moulin Rouge. Stan, our tour guide on June 23, did an excellent job talking to us about the history of the area (it helps that he was raised in Montmatre) as well as talking to us about thr various pastors that were delicious. The wine and cheese portion was led by the owner of a local restaurant and was also fantastic. Wear comfy shoes as there is a lot of up-hill walking.

A great way to explore Montmarte starting at the bottom of the hill and weaving your way up to the top ending at Sacre Couer with amazing treats, history lessons, and education about French culture. Our guide Charles was FANTASTIC and attentive to each small family group of our total 10 person tour. Highly recommend this tour!!

Julie was an amazing tour guide! This tour was both rich in history and delicious! The group size was small enough that everyone was able to hear and the pace was perfect. The macaroon at the last stop of the tour may have been the best thing I’ve ever tasted (I took Julie’s recommendation at opted for the black currant). If you’re in Paris, you HAVE to take this tour!

Loved the food and wine as well as our tour guide was very knowledgeable of the area! What was unbearable was the restaurant we had the wine tasting in had no air conditioning or fans- it was almost 100 degrees outside in a small room with many people- you must accommodate and at least get some fans in the room

Exploring Montmarte was very beautiful, but do not go on this tour if you expect to be any semblance of full by the end. Each tasting is very, very tiny. I thought when we were sat at a restaurant that we would actually have more to eat, but no. The guide was nice and it was the best croissant and the macaron were honestly the best I've ever had, but we had to order a full meal after this.

Tasting of madeleines, macaroons, chocolates and cream puffs at small specialty shops. Small restaurant for cheeses and wine; presentation difficult to hear because there were two walking groups and speaker was not in the center of the room so everyone could hear. Mary, our guide was from the neighborhood, was knowledgably and enthusiastic.

Great overall food tour. A ton of food and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. It felt very personal and we even sat down at a fun restaurant with the owner. Just one warning: toward the end the tour dives into an extremely touristy section which I really would rather have avoided.
