This activity will end right where it started.
Select a convenient departure time when booking, and begin your tour at Rainbow Helicopters located in Honolulu International Airport. Get situated inside your helicopter with doors on or off.

Your guide takes you up in the air as you pass Leeward Coast sights like Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay, and the Makapu‘u Lighthouse, before continuing to the Windward Coast with its views of the Ko’olau Range, Lanikai Beach, and Kāne‘ohe Bay.

Fly in close to catch stunning views of Sacred Falls, and then, in the distance, notice surfers challenge waves at Banzai Pipeline and Waimea Bay. Complete your tour with views of the Dole Plantation and Pearl Harbor.

  • When booking the doors off experience, your seat may or may not be directly adjacent to an open door.
  • Only passengers weighing 80 lbs or more may fly with the door off in our Robinson R44 helicopter. Only passengers weighing 100 lbs or more may fly with the door off in our Airbus Astar helicopter.
  • All passengers 24 months and older must purchase a full fare seat.
  • For each guest weighing 260 pounds or more, a weight and balance fee is required to safely balance the aircraft. For guests weighing between 260-279 lbs, a fee in the amount of 50% of the seat price will be assessed after booking. For guests weighing 280 lbs or higher, an additional seat purchase will be assessed after booking.

This was an incredible, once in a lifetime experience. Oliver was our Pilot and he was amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable and checked in with everyone throughout the trip to ensure we were ok. The experience of viewing the islands from the helicopter is something everyone should experience on their Hawaiian getaway. Our tour was 1 hour long and it was just enough time to see everything advertised on the company's website. Thank you to the team of friendly staff who made all of this possible.

I went with my daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids ages 17, 16, and almost 11. We ALL loved it! Pilot and ground crew were awesome, and seeing Oahu up close from the air was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The kids said it was the coolest thing they have EVER done, so that is quite a review on itself. Expensive, but worth it!

Kyle who was our tour guide did an excellent job with everything he was doing to make our ride comfortable. We had doors off which if you sit in the back gets quite shaky but that was experience. He gave us the history and views in the 60 minutes up in the air. He also went through all the activities you can do throughout the island. Definitely recommend doing this in the beginning if your not familiar with the island.
