Our guide was wonderful! He was extremely knowledgable on Hawaiian history and culture and the history of Pearl Harbor and the events of 1941. The Arizona memorial is very moving and definitely worth the trip.

We had a great day a very interesting driver who had some good stories. The boat ride out to the Arizona memorial was very smooth and also nice to have a look around the Mighty Mo.

Patrick, our tour guide was incredible. He shared lots of history with us while he showed us historical places. He was thorough on his instructions once we arrived at Pearl Harbor and really made sure we had a great time. He was so funny, recommended great places to eat, shared with us some stories about himself all while driving! I saw other tour guides for the same company and they looked like they were having fun with their crew too. As for Pearl Harbor, it was incredible. We were able to pay our respects to those who lost their lives that day. A ferry takes you out to the USS Arizona where all names of those fallen soldiers are listed. There was a retired vet who was sharing with us some history about that infamous day and you could see the love and passion he had for the military, it’s soldiers and their sacrifice. We enjoyed it so very much. We also got to experience the Submarine Bowfin and enjoyed everything from their gift shops and museums. We’d recommend this to anyone who wants to go. We enjoyed the tour so much and had lots of fun with Patrick who was so engaged with all of us on the bus. Next time we’d like to do the whole tour and visit USS Missouri. We were stretched for time but won’t pass up that opportunity again. Mahalo for the quality service and mahalo to Patrick. He left such an amazing impression on us, we can’t stop talking about him.

The warships were all nostalgic. The surrendering spot at the ship by the hostile forces with the photo and their names with the surrendering order from the Emperor are all worth seeing.

A Sobering Historical Moment

You cannot come to HI and not book this tour. The tour guide with this company was a Navy or Marine Vet and was filled with the history and knowledge about HI and the Arizona experience. It was sobering standing there still able to see the oil that still seeps from the vessel with the soldiers still below.

Really wonderful tour - loved the fast lane out to the memorial!

First off our tour guide/Driver, Kimo was awesome! He was so kind and full of really great knowledge about Oahu and Hawaii. I was really impressed with his ability to narrate through the entire drive. We drove through the city to see multiple historic and civic sights. The only bummer is that we didn’t get to get off the bus to see any of these places because of timing for our PH tour, but that was ok because the Pearl Harbor Memorial was the most important. Once we got to the memorial, we had time to check out the couple of museums and the gift shop. Then we headed out on the ferry to the memorial. The cool thing about paying for this tour was we didn’t have to wait in the really long line to get out to the memorial, we went right up at our designated time and went right onto the ferry. This might be a boring tour for those with little ones who have no interest in history. As the grandchild of Pearl Harbor Survivors, it was very moving for me, connecting the stories they told me to the stories I heard at the memorial.

Every person in the USA should learn about, and visit this place. Especially, all teenagers, and young people, to understand what their freedom cost.

Marlon - our guide, gave an interesting personal view to the guided tour. Despite mechanical challenges with the boat to the Arizona shortening our time at the memorial, it was definitely worth the time and money

Our tour guide was Marlon and he was so great! He was so knowledgeable and friendly. I went with my 15 yr old daughter and 16 yr old niece. It was an amazing experience. The boat to the Arizona broke down and we were afraid we would not be able to go but out tour guide was so accommodating and told us just to come back once we were able to have our time on the Arizona. We were also still able to do our city tour and were only running a little behind. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it!

Such an emotional and educational tour

I last visited Pearl Harbor as a teenager over 30 years ago, and it was still as emotional and moving as an adult. We were lucky to have a retired Navy veteran on the ship and he shared many facts in the Shrine room like that there were many sets of family members, (father and son, twins, cousins) that perished in the attack. He also spoke about how since the mid-1980's a number of USS Arizona crew that survived the attack have asked to be buried at sea with their fellow crew members. There are currently 2 remaining USS Arizona survivors still alive. Patrick was our tour guide and was extremely knowledgeable about places to eat (he would point some of them out as we drove by), things to do on the island, and definitely shared Aloha with us. He pointed out landmarks in the Historical City tour, and even made references to TV shows shot in Hawaii (like the Palace that doubles as the Hawaii 5-0 headquarters) as a reference for some of our younger passengers. Our bus ran into some issues with the A/C, and Patrick realized it rather quickly, and after dropping us off the the Memorial, he returned to the bus terminal to have the bus worked on, and returned to the Memorial before we were scheduled to leave. The bus still wasn't cooling down enough, and he arranged for another bus to come out for us to return to Waikiki on. Patrick was an amazing tour guide and we enjoyed our time with him. He is an amazing guide, who is Hawaiian born and raised.

Patrick was a super friendly and relatable tour guide. I loved how it felt like he was just having a conversation with you about Honolulu, Punchbowl Cemetery, and Pearl Harbor. Also learned about his family and their experience here so it felt like taking a tour with a friend. Everything was punctual and went smoothly. The Pearl Harbor experience went so smoothly with the company securing tickets and Patrick giving a thorough explanation of what to visit and when to be at the boat to go to the Arizona Memorial. Definitely recommend!
