The main objective was of course HighClere Castle, but it was the last and short part of the tour. I enjoyed the trip, but an hour or two shorter might have been a bit less tiring.

Highclere Castle was amazing. Beautiful. Although, I wish we hadn’t stopped in Oxford and I had had more time at Highclere. I wasn’t able to see everything I wanted to at the castle. Oxford didn’t relate to this tour at all, and it’s included in so many other tours. I’d rather not have stopped and just focused on Bamptom and Highclere. By having 3 locations, you didn’t have enough time in any of them.

Very poorly run tour. One of the worst I have ever done. we were gone for 12 hours and only spent 90 minutes at Highclere Castle. The driver was 25 minutes late picking us up in Oxford, which was a totally unnecessary part of the tour. No explanation was given for his disappearance. You can do this on your own by train and taxi in half the time and then do Bampton as part of a cotswolds tour. Also the tour guide lied to everyone about souveniers. She told us that the only place to get Downton souveniers was in Bampton which is not true at all! There is a large gift shop at Highclere Castle. This was clearly designed to motivate us to buy good in Bampton, which you should do, but she should not have lied about it! Highclere Castle is wonderful and well worth the visit, but we did not have enough time to explore the grounds. If you want to do this site as part of a tour, please find another provider. Premium Tours is terrible! Also look for one that does not do more than Highclere and Bampton. Oxford is lovely but it was nothing more than a way to kill 2+ hours on this tour. I do not like to give bad reviews, there are too many of them out there, but no tour I have ever taken was even close to as bad as this was. One of the most anticipated days of our trip to the UK was ruined by this company and I think anyone choosing this tour should be made aware.

My absolute favorite part of this tour was seeing Highclere Castle, not just touring inside but spending time on the grounds after the tour. Lady Carnarvon was even there talking about the history of the castle during our tour! Oxford was very neat to see, but there wasn't enough time to truly tour the campus and town.

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. Our guide made the trip so worthwhile. Her explanations of the history were very good and she made sure we were well informed about where to meet and when. Each of the stops was just right to see everything without being rushed. A thoroughly enjoyable day!

This tour was great! If you're a fan of the show, it's a must do! We had Frank as our guide and a Christian as the driver. Frank was knowledgeable, friendly, whitty, and a pleasure to listen to! Christian made sure we were everywhere that we needed to be in a safe and timely fashion! Thank you to you both! We had a great time!

What a treat to enter "Downton Abbey", Highclere Castle! Gorgeous while being a family's home as well. Those who are fans of the series will love the opportunity to see the castle as well as the small town which served as the locale of other scenes. Not everyone, of course, knows the program, but it's still wonderful to see. For some, of course, the town & colleges of Oxford are the draw. Time to choose which places to tour there, with good suggestions from the well informed, positive & energetic guide. Our bus driver, Andreas, was amazing on the tight roads & roundabouts. It's a long day, but interesting in a number of ways. Some tours advertise Downton, but don't get you into the home, which has to be SO disappointing when people don't realize this until too late. This is the real deal, with plenty of time to savor the house & lovely acres of surrounding land and gardens.

We loved this tour. Oxford was lovely, you have 2 hours there. 30 min walking guided tour and 1.5 hours for lunch, sight seeing, and shopping. Its tight on time but we managed. Highclere castle is fantastic. Great information sheets and guides all through the house. Our tour guide for the day was Karen. She was informative. Pleasant, and knowledgeable. We ran on time and felt the tour was fun, comfortable bus, and great tour guide. Highly recommend if you are a Downton fan.

Outstanding Tour Host and Driver! Loved the Oxford and Brampton town visits. Just enough time for quick tour and time on our own. Enjoyed seeing everything from Highclere Castle and the surrounding grounds. Also a highlight was meeting the Countess! Nothing i would change about the tour except for the pickup experience at the terminal. Too much commotion and overcrowding for all the different tours leaving from that small area.
