Disappointed

Very disappointed that the Delft factory was closed, so we really didn’t see the actual workings. The translator was explaining but would have been better to have seen the actual working. Our understanding was that the river cruise would have a guide..not so and just quiet for the whole cruise. Not impressed.

Don’t trust Viator.

We purchased a full-day tour. Scheduled time was 9:30 am to 6 pm. Although check-in time was 9 am. I checked the schedule twice before booking our required Covid antigen tests (required because we are flying back to the U.S today) for 6:40 pm. At approximately 4 pm yesterday while in Rotterdam something the guide said made me question what time we would be back in Amsterdam. 7:15 pm!!! The tour we were on was 10.5 hours instead of 8.5!! I said we needed to be back in Amsterdam by 6. Absolutely. He could not help us other than telling us how to get to the train station in Rotterdam. After a 30 minute fast walk, we reached the train station and were able to purchase high speed train tickets to Amsterdam. Cost 41.2 euros. Apparently Viator did not notify us of the change from winter to summer schedule which occurred after we booked the tour. Inexcusable!

Long but Informative Day

The guide was very knowledgeable and listening to him switch from English to Spanish to German was impressive. Unfortunately, we were not notified that the time the tour would take was extended and our friends had to leave the tour in Rotterdam in order to get back to Amsterdam in time for their COVID test. Very long day but we saw a lot!

Cannot do justice to four spots jammed in a day.

Personally I feel It is just a crime managing doing this tour because one cannot do justice to the four spots jammed in a day. The tour includes Madurodam (the miniature park). Given another opportunity I would devote at least a day for Rotterdam and may be a day or two for the Hague.

Not good at all.

The trip was supposed to last 8'30". Once the bus got rolling the guide told us to plan on 11 hours. We missed our covid tests to return to the US. Pedro, the guide was great and helpful, but the Hague, Delft and Rotterdam are NOT worth an 11 hour tour. Not a lot of good sights. Try anything else

Last minute change to trip itinerary leading to disappointing experience
Sridhar_R

On the positive side, Madurodam (miniature village) is a unique experience and worth making the trip. The Delft pottery factory is nice and the Delft town centre is great for a meal on a sunny day. However, 2 elements of the trip were a let down - (a) the timing of the boat trip at Rotterdam was changed after the tour commenced. Our tour was to finish and we should, have been back in Amsterdam by 5:30pm or 6pm. Instead, the boat trip at Rotterdam was delayed to 5:45pm, which meant we returned to Amsterdam only around 8pm. (b) Our boat trip seemed to have been combined with another group which meant our tour group got very few seats on the upper deck which was already occupied. As a result, the boat trip experience was not great.

We thoroughly enjoyed our full day tour to Rotterdam, Delft and the Hague. Wished we could have spent more time in Delft but so enjoyed seeing the Royal Delft factory and store, and having the most delicious pancake for lunch. It was more like a crepe but was just fabulous!

The tour and sites visited were very interesting. The tour guide, Pieter, was amazing. He provided very interesting commentary along the way. The best guide I've had for a day trip for a long time. This day trip was nicely organized and a highlight of my time in the Netherlands.

Nice tour, the Royal Delft was intersting. Since it included also the Madurodam, I think it was more seeing things from the bus at Rotterdam, Delft and The Hauge.

There is more to the Netherlands than Amsterdam

These 3 cities are each unique and interesting. Rotterdam is a beautiful port city. We went to a very unique market. It’s decor is amazing. The market sells many ethic foods. It was a great 30 minute stop Delft is a beautiful old village best known for the Royal Delft factory. The factory tour is interesting. The pottery pieces are beautiful. This was also our lunch stop in the towns main square. The Hague is the political center of the Netherlands. The Peace Palace is a great picturesque site While this is a full day tour the longest time on the bus is an hour. You get to see a lot throughout the day

Waste of time. Tour is too rushed
Daydream05799199191

This is better described as an on the bus tour as you don't really get out of the bus much. I don't feel like I got to experience the cities, the tour could've been done in a classroom and there would've not been much of a difference. Would've been better off going to these cities on my own with the train and explore the main attractions as much as I'd like

A good tour to see the other surrounding cities. The differences between them small but each city have their own flavour.

Worst Tour Experience Ever
Elizabeth E
, Sep 2019
In Hague we were rushed through the streets and all explanations were very brief and formal. Hardly saw anything. In Delft the schedule was completely absurd: we spent an insane amount of time at the Porcelain factory and its gift store. The time allocated for lunch, to which we were dropped off with about 10-15 mins walking distance, was only 45 minutes with the walking included. I was forced to run there and back. On the way back a bridge that was lifted delayed me by a few minutes. The bus, which was supposed to wait, didn't wait. There were several people left behind it turned out at the end. I ended up making my way by myself. When at the end of the trip I managed to catch up to the bus, the guide flat out lied about having waited for 15 minutes. She did not. Very rude, unapologetic. Waste of my time and money and I'm sure the other people who also were placed in the same predicament can agree. Don't bother with this tour. Save your money and find literally anything else; it will be a better experience.

Excellent!

Great trip. Very well organized. Excellent guide (I am sorry I forgot her name) and driver (Mick). Make sure you are there on time (as noted on your ticket). The trip leaves on time, as it should. I used the canal cruise ticket at a different pickup location without any problem. Took the trip in July 2019, but the date selector below is not giving that option, and so chose June 2019. Highly recommended.
